Frazer Bradshaw is a director, producer and cinematographer who works on a variety of independent and commercial media. As a content creator, Frazer is driven by the art/content side of filmmaking and by the medium’s capacity to communicate the complex and the profound. Frazer’s films as a director, both features and shorts, have played widely at major film festivals at home and abroad, winning prizes at major festivals. His work as a cinematographer has played even more widely. Relatively new to producing, Frazer has served as producer on two features, one documentary feature and several short films. In every facet of filmmaking that he works in, Bradshaw is driven by work that is challenging, original, authentic, and which makes a contribution to the world both socially and artistically.
As an award-winning filmmaker, Denis Chicola believes deeply in the power of film to open people’s hearts and minds — to each other and the world we share. His awards for writing and directing include a local Emmy for the educational series, “Talk About AIDS,” a gold medal in the New York Film Festival for a short exploring the imagination of children, “Imagine,” and an MTV Video Music Award for Patti Austin’s, “We’re All In This Together.” Mr. Chicola’s feature film credits include, “Green Plaid Shirt,” which opened festivals in Los Angeles and Berlin. Denis Chicola began his career producing advertising and marketing campaigns for Levi Strauss and Co. and was awarded Communicator of the Year by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). Currently, he works as director of communications at the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, a private family foundation in San Francisco. Mr. Chicola oversees film, digital, and print efforts aimed at advancing rights and creating opportunities so all people can live, work and raise their families with dignity.
Dennis Fournier spent 20 years as Executive Director in the End of Life Care and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in non profit Boards. He was a founding member of the bio-ethics committee at the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, and a member of the Board of Directors of the California State Hospice Association. He is the past president of the Board of Directors for the Center For Non Profit Leadership, a member of the Nevada County Transit Services Committee, and he has also served for the past three years as the Interim Executive Director for a Nevada County Children’s Service. Dennis is our “go to” person for non profit direction as a Board Member for FilmProjects and has guided us through several important decisions relating to our Mission and how best to accomplish our goals.
David Leyton brings a wealth of business experience and acumen to the FilmProjects Board of Directors. He has worked in the insurance industry for most of his professional career and is currently the Sr.Vice President of a professional liability insurance company. David received his BS in Business Administration from California State University Northridge. In the past few years David has guided FilmProjects through difficult decisions, offering his business expertise to the Board and successfully negotiated our contracts.
